SAFEGUARD trials onboard the Color Line 'SuperSpeed 1'

The SAFEGUARD project has received mention in the specialist maritime technology press recently:

• Motoship have published an article online titled 'EU ship evacuation survey underway'. The same article should also be appearing in the next print edition of the publication, due in November 2009
• SAFEGUARD has appeared on The Digital Ship online website, in an article titled 'Safeguard to enhance ship evacuations through simulation'
• The project has also been mentioned on the Notices page of Marine Science & Technology online

SAFEGUARD Kick-off Meeting

The SAFEGUARD Kick off meeting to discuss the workplan and clarify initial tasks was held on the 8th April at BMT Head Office and was attend by representatives from University of Greenwich, Bureau Veritas, ColorLine Marine AS, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Principia and Safety at Sea Ltd and BMT Group Ltd
